I am very proud to welcome you to St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Primary School. Our school is a thriving community made up of an inspiring group of talented and enthusiastic children; dedicated and passionate staff; a supportive and committed governing body and an extremely supportive and active parent body.
We have been humbled to receive this message this evening. 'Hello there. I know I'm a touch late in getting in touch (i.e. after end of term!) but my name is Luke Shepherd and I have received one of your wonderful prayer pods from a student called Poppy. I am currently an inpatient at Walkergate Park Rehab Centre (where Poppy's godmother is one of the nursing staff) recovering from a neurological illness which caused me to temporarily lose the ability to walk and do very much at all. I have been in hospital for nearly five months and it has been tough, as you might imagine. Poppy's prayer pod has been a really thoughtful thing to receive for my wife and I. I would be like to thank Poppy, all the students and the staff for putting this together; my wife and I are both teachers and appreciate the work that goes into this time of year. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy the break.' Luke we wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and a very hopeful 2019. Poppy we couldn't be prouder of you.
